Cheers to the value and quality that is Schrade (still)

If you seriously want the signage, contact the owners and make them an offer. I doubt they would refuse a reasonable offer from a collector of company memorabilia.

(sigh) Yes, I must humbly concede that you're right. Thievin' ain't right. But jeez, it's tempting . . . :p

Actually, if I lived or traveled close by, I probably would have tried to locate the ownership and offered to buy it. I may just do that, seein' as how I've got a friend who runs a little antique shop locally who calls me when he gets SchradeUSA's in. Now that we have a house with a garage, and I'm almost done with my workbench, and I've got lots of space. (Codger - might you know who the current property owners are? I'll see if I can look them up tonight myself as well.)

A (grudging) thanks for keeping me on the straight & narrow!

thx - cpr

I suggest that you contact the Ellenville-Wawarsing Chamber Of Commerce as a starting point. The only thing I came up with on a quick online search was a listing for Nassau Asset Management at #7 Schrade Court. Nassau may be the security and maintenance company looking after the property, but I don't know that for a fact.

it would be a great addition to Ellenville if the E-W C of C considered raising funds locally to buy the entire Schrade property and turned it into a knife museum and park. the knife boards are gone, but if all of us donated 5 - 10 of our minty Schrades, it would have a fine display.
great for the tourism aspect of the local economy. i would make the 3000 mile pilgrimage to visit. roland
