Some interesting products in this link:

I found the cheeseburger and dehydrated red wine amusing, but the Peronin might be a really useful survival food.
An excerpt describing Peronin:
Unlike regular food, it does not first have to be decomposed in the stomach, but is assimilated directly. Whereas the body will assimilate less than 60 percent of the total calorie intake efficiently in extreme situations (cold, heat, fear and fatigue), Peronin delivers an outstanding 96 percent.

Peronin is quite different from the conventional energy drinks and bars which dominate the consumer market. It consists of medium-chain triglycerides and is assimilated by the body within six minutes.

Sounds nice, but it's very expensive (~4€) and a shelf life of twelve months isn't that good. Maybe I'll give it a try.

I am reminded of the 'old wife's tale' - that works - for diarrhea - a McD's cheeseburger. Now, that 'in a can' may be useful!

Had to be done.

Wow, that Peronin sounds amazing though...

No, no, Thats not the plan. Not with my friend Stan, or on a plane to Japan, Not even on the beach getting a tan. No way will I eat a cheeseburger from a can. Please pass me those green eggs and ham.

Powdered red wine(!) ... when reconstituted ... alcoholic content 9.27%.

Maybe they are getting closer to the "dehydrated beer" I used to wish for in my younger backpacking days...

Hmm, burgers? Check. Alcohol? Check. Ice cream? check.

I LOVE dehydrated foods. Not to eat, but to think about the simplicity.

Peronin sounds a lot like Slim Fast or similar diet shakes.

Ingredients (per 100g of powder)Maltodextrin; milk protrin; vegetable oil (medium-chain triglyceride); sugar; coca powder (chocolate flavoured product); tri-sodium citrate-dihydrate 344.5mg; sodium chloride 287.1mg; colouring B-carotine; magnesium hydroxide carbonate 129.2mg; tri-potassium monhydrate 124.4mg; calcium carbonate 114.8mg; Mixed vitamins: (vit C 26.25mg tocopherylacetate 6.26mg; calcium d-pantothenate 2.41mg; vit. B6 mononitrate 0.63mg; vit. B2 0.60mg; folic acid 0.05mg; biotin 0.04mg and vit. B12 1.05mg.

One portion of powder weighs 100g, and when mixed with water makes 300ml.

It also appears to have been invented by Kramer!

Does anybody remember the "backpacker's beer that came out a few years ago? It was packaged in mylar instead of cans.

How good could that cheeseburger possibly be ?......

I'll stick with Dinty Moore.

The peronin sounds like it would be great for emergency kits , where one would have to eat on the run.

I like mine with letece and tomato , Hienz 57 and french fried potatos, just a cheseburger in paradise.

I can get pretty good soup in a can that lasts longer, propably (haven't tried the 4€-cheeseburger yet) tastes much better and costs me less than 1€.
