Kitchen-chef meat cleaver. Custom Tony Damascus steel fossil walrus ivory handle , one of a kind cast guard. Blade is 8 inches long 3 /16ths thick. 2 inches wide. The acid etchings of wildlife came out great on this. One side has the predator mountain lion, the other side has the fawn - his dinner. Copper hammered into the steel when forging looks like blood drops.

Gorgeous piece of fossil ivory is a single piece carved with finger grooves. Hints of gray blue in the sheen. Slightly blade heavy, thus it might have a good chopper cleaver use more then a bread cutter. Brass guard custom carved and cast for this knife is from an old propeller off the Yukon River $1,500
I feel everything about this knife came out well. This is maybe the best steel work I have ever done. The etching is crisp. The hardening came out perfect- this knife cuts like a dream, hard, yet has good flex. The ivory is solid, nice colors. A very one of a kind collectable that can be used and talked about. Best way to buy is off my web site using the shop cart . This knife is the bottom of the page. Or contact me for payment plan or other arrangements.
