Forged from52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind with a slight convex
Stabilized blaze box elder handle with red G10 spacers. Please note that the worm holes have been filled. (The worms are what caused the flame in this wood).
I forged the handle upward slightly to help keep knuckles off the cutting board
The top of the spine has been rounded and the handle narrowed at the forefinger for folks that like to choke up on the top of the blade
SOLD delivered within the US. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com
Overall length: 12 1/2 inches
Blade: 7 3/4 inches
Thickness at the forefinger: 1/8 inch
Depth at the forefinger: 1 7/8 inches
