Chef's and Petty, AEB-L with Black Palm and Spalted Tamarind

Here is a matching pair with an 8" Chef's and a 4.75" petty, handled in stabilized black palm and stabilized spalted tamarind. I couldn't be happier with the results on these handles, they are some of my favorites ever. The sayas are curly maple. Steel is aldo's AEB-L, heat treated by Peters to 61 HRC. Chef's- 8" blade, 13" OAL, 1.85" deep at heel, 0.105" wide at the spine with full distal taper, 0.005" at edge before sharpening.

Petty- 4.75" blade, 9.75" OAL, 1.4" deep at heel, 0.98" wide at the spine with dotal taper, 0.007" at edge before sharpening.
