Chef's Knives in Progress!

Damn, I have been off lately! I have a guest staying with us from the AU!

Daniel, glad to see you trucking right along. Those look like they're gonna be sick! Plan on doing the bolsters/liner knives like that bitchin one from before?

I'm saving the bolsters for some Gyuto I have coming up eventually... was just looking at some bolstered sets I layed up today. Thanks!!!

The red Honesuki belongs to JUST1MOR... he recently wrote me and told me their entire kitchen is now Apple Red to match the linen micarta! :D
 
Would that abl be my knife? I had talked to you and wanted one so I'm just curious if maybe I wasn't lost in the shuffle. Thanks :)

My apologies that you did not get the kmife but I assure you no one was lost or forgotten. I lost a great amount of these in heat treat to warpage. The steel came to me warped which is common but for some reason straightening and normalizing before heat treat only helped until later grinding which brought the warp right back. If all of them had made it I would be closer to helping you out and really wish it had worked out that way.

It really means a lot to me that everyone is happy and gets their knife. Please hang in there and I'll be working hard to get you your knife.

The largest blade or Ko Deba is 52100... standard Petty is AEBL and the not so tall Petty is 52100.

I'd like to do another larger run of my standard pattern petty... I post in a few places and the reaction elsewhere was the same... I better make a bunch!
 
Ok, so I said petty, and meant Ko Deba apparently!

So.. is the top pictured knife avail? IF SO WE NEED TO TALK :)

That one is spoken for but the bottom Petty (smallest blade height) is available. It will be great for utility and detail work.


It will be a little ways off but I am most likely going to do a larger run of my Standard Petty design in AEBL. The response has been huge and I also owe a bunch of you a Petty. I think I will make the pattern a bit taller so the blade lasts a long time.
