Chemical bond

I've been using Loctite Depend 330 and liking it. Simple to use, no mixing and fast set time compared to similar strength epoxies that you mix. If you're after a faster set time this might be an option for you. It's almost like a CA in that you do not mix it and then apply it. You apply it to one part, put the activator on the other and put them together, at that point you've only got a very short time to get things settled and clamped so it's not for fine positioning. I use it in conjunction with a pin, tube or bolt and generally make sure they would work fine independently but are not so tight I can't get it all together quickly and clamped. I worry about peening the pins or any belling on the tubes later.

Bladsmth I am not recommending CA for knife assembly just giving an example of its ability to hold when used around the house. It is good stuff for some uses. You are correct most blade tangs are not made from china they are made in china!

Acraglas. Finest kind. It is, however, runny. You need to make sure you have tape dams, clay dams and any other damn dams in place.:D Otherwise it leaks all over the place. Once it sets up, best I've ever used.
