Well, for the lingest time the HI product that I really craved but never managed to get was a nice Cherokee Rose.
Thanks to our wonderful Lady Yangdu this problem has been solved!
On the last DOD that Yangdu had a Rose for sale Hondo3 managed to snag it. Good Man!! Well I checked in with Yangdu and she had one more in stock. I managed to snag that one.!
It is one hell of a knife. Sort of overwhelming in some ways. The carving of the handle is just beyond words. It is that nice. The blade is beautiful. The tip has a slight turn to the right in the last 1/4 to 1/2 inch or so. You can not see it as much as feel it when polishing.( I do that a lot) The tip needs a little more point for my tastes so I will drop the clip down just a little to create that effect.
These are not complaints as I am an anal SOB when it comes to steel and I love to tweak and finish all my stuff a little beyond how it came. Weather it is a HI, or Strider or Busse, they all get my little touches to truly become mine. Anyway, this knife is just wonderful. It will not slice much more than air, but it will do that with beauty and class! Here are a couple of crummy photos to show off my new beasty!
Thank you hugely for this wonderful Rose Yangdu. It is just what I wanted!!
