I love mine:thumbup: Lives next to my bed for bump-in-the-night duty.

It looks slimmer. Maybe because Bura usually makes this model?

Dang, I'll have to get one of those someday... I have a friend who'd love it and I haven't given him a gift since kindergarten. A gift needs to be special and either treasured, practical, or both. Not a bowie guy myself but he has yet to experience the Himalayan Imports type of quality - and he loves bowies...

Had I not purchased the Jungle Knife from yesterday's DOTD, I would have surely bought it myself. Beautiful knife! :D

This one seems to have a slimmer profile the earlier ones. Mybe it's just me.

When you get it could you please give some feedback about grip size? A photo of it in hand would be great too.

Having only medium sized hands I find many of my HI blades grips to be on the large side. But the Murali 12inch Bonecutter I just received is one of the exceptions, and I was wondering if other examples his work had more medium sized grips?

I'm working out of state right now. Should be home for 4th of July. I hope to take pics of all my HI aquisitions. I. too. have medium sized hands, but most of these blades seem to fit me well(ymmv).

I've found there's a degree of proportion usually with H.I. khukuris. The handles tend to get larger on the 20"+ ones. Khukuris shorter than 19" or 20" tend to have smaller handles on them. The exception I have in my collection is my 20.25" sirupati by Bura; it has a long handle, but it has a thinner circumference than the other 20"+ khukuris in my collection.

For scale, 21.5" Chitlangi and 15.5" Chitlangi:

Thank you Wolf_1989 for the info... it is the circumference that causes issues for my short fingers, many of the grips are too thick and give the feeling that the Khuk could go sailing thru the air after a bit of fatigue sets in!
