Cherrywood

Send it back with that picture. You really can't have an oddball like that in this beautiful collection.

I should send it back, but I won’t. It’s a nice little knife. I may EDC it, or gift it and order a new one, after I have a conversation about color with Buck over the phone. Ed

Lol! You had me excited! As soon as they make them or offer them in the custom shop I’ll grab them! I’m always on the lookout!

Thats a sweet collection. Hows the bevel grinds on the edge of your 113? Mines not a custom shop or cherrywood, just the standard walnut handles but im disappointed with mine. if you look at the rear of the edge near the sharpening choil mine looks pretty wonky. The edge grind curves up on the show side only, has a large "smile", and is ground pretty far off the centerline when looking down the spine. The bolsters were all scuffed up also when i recieved it today. The handle scales are very different shades too. My main gripe is the grind though. I guess thats what I get for ordering online instead of picking one out in person.

Mines fine. Most new knives I buy the blade in front of the choil is wonky. I’ve gotten used to haveing to fix them.

The 113 is a really great knife.

It is a great knife. I can polish the bolsters and fix alot of the edge by sharpening I suppose. just gotta decide if i want to go to the effort or flip it and maybe buy another 113. Thanks for the insight.

I’m thinking of ordering another in s30v to use hard. Can’t decide on the handle.

Or I may order another Cherrywood and use the one I already have. Did I mention I really like the 113?

Is there a 113 club yet?

A 113 club would be cool! With a coworker we could have 3 members already

Im curious what the differences are in your custom shop 113 and my regular 113 other than the handle material? Looks like a bead blast finish maybe? Is the steel Upgraded? Mine is the 420HC base steel with satin finish and black leather sheath. I only own a few fixed blades, im mainly into folders, but had to have it after seeing and holding it! I really do like the knife and ordered it after handling said coworkers. I think its a great looking piece with the polished bolsters and the custom shop is even nicer!

I bought one 113 and used it on one deer. Frankly, after using the 118 for years, I found the 113 handle to be too small and uncomfortable for good control. I think they look really cool but aren’t easy to grip once bloody. OH

I have a stag 113, the handle feels great to me even when bloody, although I do try to keep my knife hand relatively clean during the process. I do find the blade a little short for my likeing.

Except the 110 they are all discontinued. So the big auction site might be the only option.

The latest addition to the Cherrywood set. Buck 212.
