Chesapeake Knife Show: how was your experience?

OOPS!
I don't believe I can post pics here, but If anyone who CAN post will do it, I'll take one or two and email them to be posted.

My initial thought when I got to the show was - fall back to the truck and wait for it to clear out some, but then the facts that it was a one day show and if you snooze you loose pushed me into the crowd. The makers had some truly fine displays of the art on hand and that more than makes up for a little crowd. I even managed to pick up one item off my want list and a couple holiday gifts. Too cool.
I finaly got a hold of an MST with wood grips by John Greco.

I also swung by the Strider Table I really wanted a KH for my kit but they didnt have one out. I did get the full history and construction brief on the D9 Bayonette. That piece rocks. I think the only thing that could make it more JOE proof would be depleted uranium. I really appreciated Duane Dwyer taking the time to explain the construction technique and the NATICK process.

Bob Neal, your right, I should have bought that Warlock.

It was the first show where I had a whole table to myself (second show ever). I got a lot of valuable feedback, and even saw a few of my Blade show customers.

I met several knifemakers for the first time. Mr Pease was right behind me and seemed to be a real gentleman. Nice knives!

It was nice to see some of the makers that I met at the NY ABS hammer-in also.

This too was my first visit to a knife show since getting interested in the hobby. Didn't see all that I really wanted to find, but I did get to take a look at some truly great creations (that were way above my price range  ). The only knife I purchased that day was a Benchmade 43A limited bowie introduction piece. Regret not making plans to meet other forum members, but I wasn't able to stay long anyhow. Chatted for a little while with John Greco as well...great guy and I love his knives. I hope to attend many more shows in the future. :)
