This weekend past I attended the Chesapeake Knife Show. It's host was Ted Merchant. I must tell you all, that I felt like a kid in a candy factory! I had a blast, and meeting fellow Formites was the icing on the cake.

The night before the show, there was a very nice Buffet. A get together of makers, dealers, and buyers. We sat around tables, showing our knives, and talking knives. It was great! It was also something to see these big name makers talking to every one as equals. Makers like Rick Hinderer, Bill Pease, Pat Crawford, and Bob Anderson, and others. This lasted until about 11:00pm. Other makers that were there, were Alan Elishewitz, and Bud Nealy.

Sunday Show Time! I had plans to roll around to all the tables, and take a mental note, and then go back to the one's that caught my eye... Well, it didn't work! I got stuck at the second table I went to, and that was Bill Pease's table.

So after Bill's I went to Bob Eggerling's Table. This man is deffinitely a talent! Then I went to a dealers table, and I will just use his first name, Hank. He in my estimation had the best knives at the show... Strictly high end! I picked up my Hinderer there, and I love it.

I want to thank some of the formites I met there... Mike, Gary, Win, James, and Mike. I had a great time, and will make this a must show from now on.

My summary... Great Hotel, Great Rates, Great Show, and Great People. The only thing I would like to see change is the length... I would like to see it for two day's, instead of one.

If you go to knife shows, and you live within reach of this one try and go... You will not be dissapointed!

I concurr, and it was great meeting the guys as well! Fun showing off the knives and drooling all over the place, a lot of very nice knives!

There was even one fellow that had, of all things, a REAL HERMAN Sliver! Under glass, and as you walked by there was a beam of Sunlight shining down and you could almost hear angels sing as you drifted by that corner of the table.....very sweet looking knife, I didn't get the op to pick it up, guess I looked too low rent for such a knife? either way it was nice to see one in 3D...nice work Tim!

Great show, and the Ribs were tasty too, thanks Michael! chefget...:0
