chesnut jigged bone or yellow?

You should be able to pick one up from the place with the helpful hardware man. The yellow, amber bone, chestnut and brown delrin are usually available pretty much anywhere.

I'm taking a drive over to my helpful hardware man in a short while (I know he stocks Case). Want me to take a look for you? You can reply in a visitor message to me.

Perhaps I got lucky with my sight-unseen mailorder Case knives so far, but every one of them has been great.

Here's my Chestnut Bone CV peanut. Beautiful little knife, scales on both sides match, great fit and finish, and I love the carbon steel blades. I have some indoors and outdoors pics:

You can't go wrong either way. You can always add the chestnut bone later if you start out with the yellow delrin first. Nothing wrong with having more than one Peanut.

Here's my lastest addition:

well just found out about a few more hardware stores nearby, gonna check those out asap. and if i have no luck i'll just cross my fingers and buy online :P. im not too picky about it anyway, the only thing i dont like as far as f&f goes is if the backsprings sit alittle high when open or closed, i have no real problem with offcenter blades really.

Thanks,
Scott

I would also recommend the chestnut bone version. Bone has a great feel in hand. If you really like the Peanut pattern (and you will propably appreciate that pattern), you can get a Yellow Delrin later.

I would really recommend that version, because I have the Same :D ;) (Just joking)

I was thinking of getting one of the two not long ago. I like the Chestnut bone better, but like the shield on the yellow better.
I wish Case would go back to that shield on all of their knives. Hard decision, but if the shield on the bone doesn't bother you much I would go with it for sure, especially if you plan to get both in time. Not sure how long they will make that one in CV, but I'm sure the yellow CV will be around for a long time.

Ah, just get both. ;)

plan to, just need double the money i have.... and have my eyes on other knives aswell. so dont want to go and get the same knife twice in a row.... so have to pick one for the first one :P. too bad they dont have an ebony CV peanut.... would buy that in an instant XD

Holy cow - if they made an all black ebony nut instead of that ugly swirl pattern one, I would be all over it, even is it were in SS instead of CV.

Mhm, CV would be great but i'd go for stainless too :P. i just like ebony :P (all black ofcourse, your right about the swirl being ugly :P)

Chestnut bone all the way. I never could warm up to yellow, the closest I came was a Camillus cigar jack. Peanut, coffin jack and Lannys Clip, all in chestnut bone.

Oops, forgot my swayback jack in chestnut bone.

Chestnut Bone here as well but then again I'm not into the synthetic handles on traditional knives so take my opinion with a grain of salt. :)
