Chicago Custom Knife Show this weekend

If all goes well my wife and I will be there. Can't wait! Just a warning to the makers to have a good supply of rags to wipe off all my fingerprints and drool.

Hi Guys,
Am finishing making my last knife for this show. My wife Judy, and I leave Thursday a.m.
I believe this is the first year of what well may be a long run of great shows put on by Ed Wormser in Chicago.
Am really excited about the show, about seeing old friends, and making new ones.
I will have some pretty little using slipjoints and a few different patterns as well on my table.
Based on the listing of knifemakers who will be there, I'd want to definitely not miss this show as either a maker or a collector....I hope to "wear both of those hats" this weekend!
 
I've already begun the "Can't sleep because I'm too excited about the show" cycle. See you fine folks in Chicago!
 
These shows always come at the worst times. I will have to miss, even though I could get down there in a few hours between driving and train. We just moved and the neighborhood block party is the same weekend. Stupid, right? As a chiropractor, my whole business depends on meeting people and that sort of thing, so this is more important than knives, unfortunately. My goal is to attend next year with a wad of cash from selling some of my own stuff from now until then. We'll see! :rolleyes: Have fun, guys!

I'll be there! How can I not be, It's only two miles from the house. This should be a great show. Look for someone dressed as a 1700's woodsman and that will be me. Stop by and say hello

Dave, are you exhibiting? I've always wanted to see your stuff in person.
I will be there all day Friday, maybe Saturday if the missus will let me. I'm really really looking forward to this show.
 
Phyllis and I expect to be at the show venue on Thurs afternoon with the hope of linking up with knifeknuts that want to hang out and talk and show knives and whatever. I try to remember to wear my yellow Canadian Knife Collectors Club hat which makes me rather identifiable. Look forward to meeting lots of folks I have only chatted with via TKCL. Maybe Danbo will have some goodies to show.
