Chicago knives

Depends on what your looking for. Shore galleries probably has the best selection of production knives for okay prices. Other than that its hit or miss. Nothing really around

That's not entirely true. Northwestern Cutlery, a kitchen supply store, has a very nice selection of mid to high end Soydercos, a few HTMs, Kershaws/ZTs, Hogues, Benchmades, kitchen knives, (of course,) and much more. Corrado Cutlery in Evanston has less of the tactical stuff and has a decent selection of folding and fixed traditional knives, along with some of the more elegant Spydercos, CRKTs, Benchmades, and Kershaws, along with shaving stuff, kitchen knives, and various other items. And Flying Tigers Surplus carries the entire Becker line, along with an assortment of other Ka-Bars and Ontarios. There're a few more surplus stores in the city that sell knives, as well.
So... really not so bad, if you know where to look.
