Chicken, the other white meat

If you let them go right after you do the deed, they do sometimes just start flapping wings and fall over but they can run around like something out of Supernatural until they fall over. :D

Cool. As soon as our chicks are full grown and laying egg's we're going to butcher our old chickens.

It would have been 9 but a coyote killed 7 of our batch from last year.
 
Those pics remind me of when I was a boy ,we had always had chickens when my dad was alive it was fun to watch them being beheaded but it sure is freaky when they run around .My dad always let them run I don`t know why (thought it was funny?) sometimes they would run slow down then just stand there for a while (like 4 minutes) then fall over .My dad always told stories of people who kept one alive by feeding and pouring water down its neck.
I miss my dad ....

Ya they sure do run around and flap their wings around. We held them by the feet and put their heads in a trash can so that the women and kids didnt get too sketched out.
As for the dog. She loved it. I am just hoping not too much.

More than a minute sometimes. I had to slaughter a few about 5 years back and had blood all over my hands and couldn't keep a grip on 'em. My cousin was scared shitless and tried to shoot one that got away from me :D

Well...I'm not a liar...err...cheat...errr...drain on society...errr...lawyer so I think I'm safe :D
 
I lived in Panama for awhile and ate some parts of chicken I never thought I would eat...not as bad as I thought, but I still prefer steak :-)

OH MAN!!!!! that must have been funny to see. I literally laughed out loud at that one. I can see it now.
