Hiya duck. I've got a quick question. I like 440c quite a bit; have you tried working with something like CPM 154, AEB-L, Elmax, or carbon? I've heard AEB and Elmax aren't super tough to work with. Those steels seem to sell well too.

Nate,
I have made knives out of* A2* D2* CPM-D2* 154CM *CPM-154CM* 440-C* O1
I have some 15N20 and some AEB-l knives cut out but haven't heat treated them yet.........

Damn, thats quite the gambit. In that case I look forward to following your work even more. Kudos on working with D2, I know it's not as tough as people make it out to be but that's still an accomplishment in my book.

Nate,
I've been making knives on and off since the late 70's so I have been able to try a lot of different steels If I had to use only two steels they would be D-2 and 154-CM, To me just both just great all around steels...........
