Yup, I was doing a chest lever cut, with thumb assist

aka the power cut?.. is that the same technique I'm thinking about??

lol at the NG magnet kit, I hung mine on the fridge way back when and my wife said it won't be long before I use them.... women of little faith in me.. :D

approximately 667 miles according to google... If nothing comes up along the way, I'm most likely there..

You can get some power, but not like a full on chest pull. I can cut 1" saps with a single cut, with a chest pull. I use this for more controled detail work. It does offer alot of power, and alot of control. Plus, its efficient.

This one.

No mods, other than I made it a leather sheath. That's one of mine with it.

I use my thumb pretty good, (:D) but I've used alot of knives, and never been spine cut. That's a sharp spine. I'm gonna do a few pics of the new firesteels I got with that BHK. Shoule be a good light show.

Its sharp.

BHK collobarations? mmm. mmm.

nice roost :>

Here is a spoon I started on tonight.

Starting piece. From a fallen tree then a little one handed baton action to split it.

Here is the partially finished products after about 30 minutes. Like Moose, I too enjoy the chest pull with thumb assist.
Tomorrow I work will work on the head and carve the depression. Not bad for carving it in the dark. No light, no fire. Just moonlight and hopes of not slicing myself in the dark.

Don't use a Gobspark when you do the BHK light show. I tried it and lit a maple tree halfway up. I honestly don't know how he gets the spine that sharp, but I like it.
The Roost looks awesome and view will be spectacular in the Fall. Glad to see you having a good time. All work and no play you know..
