ive seen a few knockoffs of the bugout. there ar some on [Non-BF dealer web sites] ive noticed. also a few sdpyderco para 2s and was wondering if anyone has them and if not, what do you think. the bugouts look pretty much like the real thing, and even have proper logos, however they come from china and the real thing is made in the US.

I don't understand your question; wondering if anyone has them and if not, what do you think could you be a little more clear in what information you're looking for?

do you have one? if yes, how does it perform? what are the pros and cons.
If no, what do you think about the fact that chinese companies are copying the bugout exactly as it is, and selling it for a cheap price, nd siphoning money away from benchmade?

Counterfeits generally are of poor quality . They may look the same , but ain't built the same .There is no motivation to make a good product because the name is fake . Best to avoid , IMO .

I don't have any because I don't like clones and I don't support people who make clones. Does this answer satisfy you?

How would you like it if your boss told you to show up every day to do your job. Then he paid someone else that hadn't put their time in, or built a reputation for great work, about 1/4 what he pays you. You get nothing, except when theres a problem he tells everyone you did crappy work. And you couldn't do anything about it or fix your reputation. This happens every time you come up with a new job.
Would kinda suck right?

Well counterfeits and fakes are much worse than that in the damage they cause an original company. Especially when they have invested millions of dollars in research and development, advertising, and lost sales, not to mention time lost dealing with fakes, and the scars on their reputation that will send buyers right to another company.

Its not that hard. If you want a well performing knife, with a warranty and a good reputation, buy the real thing from an authorized dealer. If you want a cheap piece of crap, there are plenty of those out there that haven't damaged another company selling their products.

Don't buy fakes or knockoffs.

To be clear, look alike knives are accepted, but certainly not knives that use unlicensed trademarks of other makers or manufacturers. These are purely fraudulent products, designed to take money out the pockets of the proper owners, and to defraud collectors and users like us.
