China Peasant Folding Knife

Very nice tries guys. Those knives posted are not it. Anyone who went to school in china in the 80's should recognize it. They were very simple and flimsy knives, made from two pieces of sheet steel rivoted together. One for the blade and the other wrap around it for the handle.
 
I think he is talking about a Higo no kami but I do not know what the chinese name for them is.

Ohh, I've got one of those stashed away at home. Fun little blade, though the little thumb plate on the back of the blade can wear at your leg in pocket carry... at least it did to me. As such, I haven't really used is as much as more streamlined knives.
