Americans generally like Americanized Chinese food. Real Chinese food doesn't go over too well here, at least the meat dishes. Veggie dishes are no problem.

I spent 20 days in China in 1972, it surely was very different from today, the food was very good then as it is today.

There is a large Chinese community in Mexico and my family and I often enjoy their cuisine, I wonder if you ever get Mexican food in China.
