China, you have not seen ever

Awesome! I love seeing your pictures. The food in all it's variety makes me extremely hungry. BTW, your little boy looks to be rapidly turning into a handsome young man.:thumbup:

Thanks again for sharing.:thumbup::thumbup:

people who are first time visitors to the u.s. tend to be amazed at our super wallmarts (which have everthing from produce to perscription medicine to 1 hour optical centers to tire change centers), but that grocery/produce place in your photo's blows away anywhere I've ever been here in the u.s.

the variety and quantity of vegetables present is pretty amazing.

Thanks for sharing your country and culture with us Lachine. It looks great!

Great pics man.

I want to know what a lot of those items are, both food and plants.

Any way you could start working on labeling some of them??

Thanks for sharing your day-to-day with us.

been there a time or two, love your country I wish I had more time I want to see the harder to reach lands.

My friend went last year and took a bus tour to tibet from shanghai (not sure about all the details).

Here are some pic's of a diner that served turtle, lizard, and snake food, liquor and soup, the snake was killed right in front of us, the liver (spleen?) cut out right in front of me, and put into liquor shots for our diner party. Really cool evening which ended in macau, very memorable time with good freinds.

Probably the coolest part was sitting in this diner eating our soup and sharing shots while these boxes surrounded us with the words "danger lives snakes" all around us.

Your pictures are excellent and really interesting. I love the variety of foods - they make me hungry! All I've got tonight is pizza :( I know the 'Chinese' food we get in restaurants here is usually quite Westernised in flavour, but if I had to choose a favourite food region, China would be the one for the sheer variety. That said, we do have the Yang Sing and that is a very good restaurant. I've even tried my hand at cooking some myself.

I nearly went to China with my wife for a long holiday a few years ago, but I had to get permission and the trip was vetoed by higher ups for security reasons. Bummer!

I've always wanted to visit; so has my wife. Maybe one day.

Thanks for the pics man - they are terrific. Keep them coming!

Seeing these pictures makes me miss my trip to China last year so much more. Even the bad parts were amazing.

Thanks for the pics; The market is particularly interesting. I had "barbequed eel" at a sushi place and it was really good. Haven't seen any Chinese food restaurants in Texas with eel and frogs on the menu, though. We tend to call that "bait".:D Or Cajun food.
