Can anyone tell me what the symbol on the blade means?

The symbol is Bob Lum's signature in chinese characters. IIRC there was some discussion on the literal meaning over on the Spyderco Forum. A search there might be fruitful.

I couldn't find an answer there, either, and I'm sure I came across it recently. The character is supposed to be his name, Lum, and it means "forest", which is why it's written with a symbol for "tree" duplicated.
