We knives are great, and the Kizer toro is amazing,if it wasn't stamped with the Kizer logo you would think its a midtec or custom. Cannot recommend that one enough....
Try out a Reate horizon D in carbon fiber. The new series is also really excellent. I Haven't tried them all though.
Avoid the clones like CH and bestech.
You might be able to remove the second detent, I know theres a screw for it, that's why theres that little hole in the handle, but I'm not sure if it will effect blade centering or detent strength.im guessing it would just make it smoother to close, and the detent on the Framelock side would be plenty to hold the blade closed. the double detent as it is now puts more resistance on the blade tang; its smooth but it wont fall shut under its own weight. The only thing keeping me from trying one out is that double-detent system. Is there a way to remove the second detent without negatively affecting the knife?
My preferred method of closing a flipper (disengaging the lock, catching the tang on the detent ball, and flipping it shut) doesn’t seem like it would work with that in place. I could also be entirely wrong.
That's the giant mouse clone. Made by bestech in china and factory equipment supplied them the gm design (that's what bestech said anyway). Dunno why a USA company decided to do that. Clearly a clone.I have a Reate, Kizer, Ruike, and Factor Equipment. The Reate has the best build quality with superb fit and finish. Second would be the Factor Equipment Iconic. Wow! Great knife!
