Chinese Leek CopyCat...Anyone seen these?

If you could get your money from him, you'd still be out the shipping back to him. And he might take the knife back and neglect to refund the money, leaving you with hassles to get the few bucks. I'd say try it, but don't expect too much.

Destroy it with a smatchet! Run over it with a steamroller! Weld it to the side of a garbage truck! Grind it away to nothing in a glorious shower of sparks! We want destruction! We want videos! :D

I'll make you a deal. If someone would be willing to donate me a new Kershaw Leek 1660 CB, with the laser engraving on it I'd like to have, I will make a video of me pulverizing the knife when it comes. I will take suggestions on what to do to it, and I'll pick the best doable ones. We can then take a vote on which one you want to see cause the demise of the Kershaw ripoff. I will then post the video up on Youtube and link you all to it for your viewing pleasure. :D What say ye?

Oh, and I do have a welder. I have a sledge hammer. I have a glock. I have a shotgun or two. I have concrete. I have a ton of stuff around here I could use to end it's life.

Well that's strange, that seller doesn't have any more auctions with Kershaw copies..er...knockoffs...um...counterfeit's.
What do you call them again shecky?:p:D

To clarify, I didn't mean I'd pulverize the 1660 CB. I meant I'd creatively pulverize the Chinese Ripoff if someone was willing to help a knife addict out by sending me a nice new Leek 1660 CB . As you can tell, I want a Leek 1660 CB really bad.

That was fast! I'd love to read the email! :D
I've actually worked with Ebay for a number of years with regards to infringements. They are quite responsive to reporting, and auctions usually are removed within an hour. Probably removed 1000 or so to date. It's just tough to find the time to do it. The knockoff's have really slowed down on Ebay since we started cracking down. Used to be 50 a week, now it's probably 20 a month.

Maybe someday, there wont be any at all...hey a guy can have dreams can't he?

do you have a general counsel to handle things like that or is it something you do personally?

Yea I do it. I'll pass it on to the lawyers if their are habitual offenders I run into. We have had to send out quite a few C&D's over the years, mostly to etailers selling junk knives.

Not sure how people get caught up buying that stuff, but I guess it shows that price really does sell. One man's junk...

On the positive side, imitation is one of the finest forms of a compliment! ;) How many Mantis knock-off have you seen?

However, I think we should find em all, hang em by their feet, and give Ren 20 minutes alone with em, armed with a 2X4!

As pennance for my sin against Kershaw, I shall be monitoring Ebay for knockoffs and reporting them here.

Psst....you might want to edit your post. Take out the seller part and post it
in the GB&U. Don't want the wrath of the Mods coming down on you.
I know you're new, just wanted to give you a little heads up. ;)

I'm not sure what you want me to remove exactly. And I'm not sure what GB&U is. Man, being new is hard. Let me know what I should do.

Matt

GB&U is The Good, The Bad And the Ugly sub-forum. A place to post any positive
and or negative transactions you've made with a certain dealer. The Mods kinda
frown on posting stuff like that in any of the other sub-forums.

Hey, we were all new at one time. Don't sweat it. Ask away if you have any questions.
We promise not to give you much(;)) of a hazing. :D

Ok. I feel horrible now. And I'll be completely honest about this too. I didn't think about what I was doing by buying this guy's knife from him. So I apologize to everyone on here. I will do my best to recover my money and send this guys junk back to him.

don't feel bad dude. bottom line is that your post here helped get the guy shut down and he's gonna wind up losing money because of it.
