Chinese Marbles

In 2001 George Brinkley, who was president of Case, became the chairman and CEO. It attributes him with the turnaround of Case in the '90s. In 2004, he bought Marbles Brands and Cutlery Division

This is the Key to the question.

Read it carefully.

Marbles no longer Owns their Own Brand name with respect to Knives.

This fellow ,George Brinkley, someplace in Tennessee, owns and contracts the making and distribution of all of the Marbles Knives.

None of them are marked Michigan.

Marbles ,in Michigan, makes sights. Not knives.

I'm not criticizing the knives or this fellow.

I just wanted to point out that Marbles Knives , now ,have nothing to do with Marbles.

When You are buying these knives you are not supporting an old line traditional company.

You are supporting this fellow.

I didn't know about those... I was referring to this line

http://www.marblesoutdoors.com/cutlery/classic.html

I believe they are all currently made in US. All of the ones I have handled are and they are excellent knives for the money. I love their convex grind (but being a BRKT nut, I would! :) ) and the steel does a good job of holding an edge.

Thanks for the correction!
One would think they would say they were made in the USA if they were.

I have wondered that, myself.....

They are certainly made in the US...who knows where!!

I emailed the company and they said the classic series knives are made by Marble's in Gladstone, MI.

Now we know!

;)

If Mr.Brinkley turned Case around in the '90s, as far as I know, Case is still made in Bradford, Pa. Didn't they merge with Zippo? Oh my God, are we going to get Chinese Case?

Funny how things get twisted.

Zippo did not merge with anyone.

Zippo Bought Case and did not retain Mr. Brinkley as President.

Case Knives are still 100% U.S. Made.

Your analysis Might be valid if Mr. Brinkley was still at the Helm of Case.

He is not.
