Good pics! Regarding the tip up/down issue, I like both! For right hand carry and draw, I have always liked tip-down, but I recently figured that, depending on the individual knife, tip-up works well in the left front pants pocket, for a left-hand draw with ring finger opening to a reverse grip. Also, when I reach across my body for a right-hand crossdraw from the left pocket, tip-up works well. Of course, it is important to practice frequently, if defense is one of the reasons to carry. I carry a Rescue 93mm tip-up, and just acquired a second Civilian that I will carry in that manner as well. My Gunting and first Civi are carried tip-down on the right side. A caution: my Sebenza has bitten me when I carried it tip-up in a left pocket, so it is now a sheath knife. My theory is that thumb-stud openers might be more vulnerable to accidental opening.
