I have a .5mm-.75mm chick near the tip of my S30v osbourne (not my fault :mad:) and I was wondering if benchmade's lifesharp service would be able to sharpen it out. Otherwise I'm going to have to shell out $35 for a new blade and I really do not want to do that.
 
It would be quite quick & easy to grind (<1mm) the reverse-tanto until the edge is pointy again. However if BM warranty is lifetime and unconditional, hey it worths a call.
 
They can get that out for sure, no sweat. If they don't want to, Richard J, myself, or any one of a large number of others on here could get it for you with no trouble at all. I take care of a couple chips that size down at the local shop every weekend, more or less.

Don't worry, you're still in good shape, that blade has a lot of miles left on 'er!
