  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Chipped Sebenza Blade

Whoa, this is scary! I've been thinking about picking up an Umfaan but if they chip this easily, I don't know. My hollow ground Delica surived beer cans, plastic ties, and fiberglass roofing without chipping! Is this normal for Sebenzas?

Ouch! Dang, that's sharp!

Different knives for different jobs. My Sebenza is capable of the sharpest edge of any knife I have, but the edge will not deal with much abuse. The Benchmade ATS-34 blades will cut through copper wire, beercans and hardly be the worse for wear - the trade off is that they can be brittle and break in a high torque situation, unlike a sebbie.
I use the Benchmades for general utility purposes while the Sebbie is daily carry for tasks that require a sharp blade in low stress conditions.
