Hi,
it´s been a while since my last post, too much work but I had to at least place a short note to spread the news, today I got my 22 inch Chitlangi and my 15 inch AK.
The AK was a special from Onkel with a small blem, the leather of the scabbard is kind of broken, it is hard to explain, it looks like someone shot a small bullett through the leather. I don´t care much since it will be very easy to repair (some glue and some pressure will do the trick, I hope) and the scabbard is the best I got till now since it will not let go of the knife. It fit´s like a glove.
The knife is a beauty, small in comparison to the other khuks but still bigger then any knife I had before my first khukuri.
It is made by Kesar and looks like a small brother to the others. I could not perform any tests with it but I´m really looking forward to see how it will be doing. It is a very beautiful knife but there is the Chitlangi lying right next to it, oh friends what a knife.
It is done by Duba, wooden handle that seems to sneak into your hand when you touch it. It is light and slim and fast. The blade is 15.6 inches and the total length is 22, balance is perfect and when at first I was a bit shocked of the size, there is no different size that I could now accept. It is perfect.
Yvsa, you are so right. I still love the YCS but it is no longer my only favourite.
Can´t wait to test it.
Thanks Onkel for all you did to let me have it and thanks to you and your team to let me have in time for chopping my own Xmas tree with it.
Sven
