Chitlangi vs GS

A horn-handled Chitlangi? Didn't know there was such a bird, but I bet it looks great.

Now that you have that second 21" GS, in horn - no less, you obviously don't want that superlight, WOOD handled version anymore. Don't worry, my home for foundling khuks is always open.

PS. You beat me on that KNN PGA by about a minute, IIRC.

Spence - I have no current plans to pass that khuk along, but if that ever changes I'll be sure to give you dibs. My youngest son has expressed interest in it, but I think he'd probably prefer a sword.

Edit - Drop me a email if you're still interested.

Howard Wallace was an advocate of the style khuk ( forget the nepali name ) that later became the Gelbu Special. If Howard drops by, please leave the nepali name that preceeded the GS.

I've got a 21" Chitlangi and it is for all intents and purposes a War Sword, though a short one (grin). It is a cutter extraordinaire and I suppose adequate in the thrust, but it is not anything you can "fence" with really.

I have an 18" GS and it is perhaps one of the best all around "Battle Knives" I've ever handled. It is definitely pointy enough to thrust with, and it cleaves and cuts like a demon. It's also extremely handy

When I get my finances untangled I'm going to get an 18" Chitangi and a 21" Gelbu just so I can compare them and make a complete set.

Sirupatis are a good choice too.
