My good friend Steve Jernigan designed this knife a few years back, had them mass produced, sold them all but had a few blade blanks left over. He recently decided to finish the blades with some of my chocolate paper micarta instead of the maroon linen micarta that the factory used. So I let him have my block of chocolate micarta to use what he wanted, when he returned it he gave me one of the blade blanks and a set of chocolate micarta scales, mortised to fit the tang. Recently, being caught up on orders I decided to finish this knife, these photos show the result of my effort.
A-2 blade @ 61.6Rc,hand finished to 400 grit,flat ground,.087"x3 1/2"
Hand jigged chocolate paper micarta,Loveless bolts.
Leather sheath
7 3/4" over all length.
I'm going to give it to a good neighbor of mine,76 years old who kills many deer and turkeys each year.
