Chocolate Ice Cream Treat

Oh, yeah! Nice one, John. It'd be a toss-up between this and one of your cute lil' daggers, but this is definitely a favourite. Looking forward to seeing it(and you) in a few short days.

Thanks all....

Phil, before rust-browning Damascus, you need a good deep etch to show the pattern.

I do about four, five minute etches, cleaning and polishing between each etch with 2500 grit.

After the final etch and clean, I'm using Birchwood Casey Plum Brown, from Brownell's, just as directed. It'll take around six or so applications to get an even, rich finish.

The only "trick" is to get used to applying just the right amount of heat with a propane torch to the fittings, but that comes with practice.

Don't breath those fumes!

Exceptional all the way around, John. Blade, ivory, fittings, lines, all beautifully done without going over the top. Just can't stop looking at it. Your customer is a lucky guy. Bob L

Though I'm not a take down fan; this is one Bowie in that style I like. The fittings look great and it's good to see some different guard shapes being used like this. The sheath is more like what I like to see too.

Great work John!!!!
