Niiiiice knife. Didn't pick one up today maybe next week.

Good ergos and balance, wicked sharp. Like the indexing holes on the handle.

I've seen them online also. Anyone buy one?

I'll probably pick one up shortly. Haven't seen any of my regular dealers with these in stock yet though.

Yup, definitely one of THE knives I'm looking forward to this year.

Thought it would be the Manix 2, but somehow it just didn't work for me.

I've been a fan since it's proposed concept over at the Spydies' main forum some time back and I must say that it rates VERY HIGH in my wishlist.

I suppose I could relate to the design since I too belong and grew-up in a "third-world" country where the design would have performed similar tasks, especially in the farm/fields.

I'm currently patrolling for one of these. Selling off some other knives, etc. This could be the "one". The thing looks like it was designed with one task in mind. Cutting. Ergos be damned. Let's make something that cuts and cuts and cuts. Yowza! Looking forward to handling one of these. Spyderco's ethnic series is a grand slam so far. Looking so forward to this knife.

I have one - It's an excellent knife and the F&F is approaching custom on mine. Taiwan . . .

Spyderco is saving me a lot money these days.

Knives that I would have bought are suddenly knives I really don't need.

I bet if said Sweden or Switzerland on it, some of you folks would be all groovy about it.

My father in law made many business trips to Taipei, and in fact died of a heart attack over there, and I just wish that more folks had a better understanding of Taiwan. Its not populated a bunch of little yellow people making plastic toys and pulling rickshaws like the detractors seem to imply. Taiwan is a westernized, cosmopolitan Democracy as well as an economic and military partner of the United States. It is the antithesis of communist China. Its one thing to reject support of a communist state that has nukes aimed at us. But it is quite another to summarily dismiss products made by citizens of a fledgling democracy and friend of America. And I trust Spyderco not to engage in commerce with any business partner which fails to uphold Spyderco's strong commitment to quality.

I understand pro-American sentiment, and certainly share it. But I think that a more comprehensive understanding of what Taiwan is and who its people are would change some opinions about it.

JMO. :)

Oh I fully understand the politics involved and the US relations with Taiwan.

My thinking is, if people buy it, they'll continue to make it.

If you want to see more USA Spydies, then support them. If you want to see more Chinese and Taiwan Spydies, then support them.

I personally would like to see more American Spydies, and that's just my preference. YMMV;)

I'm not saying Spyderco's from overseas are lower quality but many people dont excatly think high quality when the see it comes from Taiwan. I would guess most people think of cheap electronics when they see Taiwan stamped on something.

When people think of Sweden or Switzerland they probably think of fine women, fast cars, and other pleasurable things in life.
