Choose Wisely (One Knife)

Okay, so a genie tells you you can only touch one knife for the rest of your life. You take one hiking? This knife. You spread some butter on toast? Same knife. Fight a Grizz? Same knife.

Etc.

Which one do you choose and why?

Me I'm leaning toward a Buck 110. Because for all Ys, you can say "it's too X to do Y with ideally, but it's still pretty damned usable for Y."

This thread comes around every so often, and I always enjoy reading the responses. I'm glad to see that Smatchet has already been done.

My response is going to be very boring. The knife on a multitool. Something like a Leatherman Crunch.

I find that a large knife will do smaller jobs, if care is taken, a too small knife is a real pain to do big jobs with. So I'd have to choose the Buck 120. I have more than one of them, but I'd take the 120 Pro.

Looks a little like a gladius (the Smatchet). Not my first choice of tool, but it pairs well with Roman sandals.

Terrible thought to only have one, but: CPK SDFK. Big enough to tackle chopping chores on property, small enough to handle most any task, tough enough to outlast me doing anything stupid, and most importantly- I just really like it.

Oooh I just looked that up. It's nice looking. I could enjoy that as a belt knife at the ranch. Does it fatigue your hand after a lot of chopping?

It is a Lauri 105H blade that I mounted. The pattern is from laying bits of lemon on the blade.
