Choose your tank! (thick blade folder)

I challenge you to find a thicker blade on a folder than the Custom Strider folders. Check these pics out:

http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum63/HTML/000157.html

This is the mother of all folders when it comes to blade thickness.

Spyderco Chinnok, MT LCC, Socom Elite and even the buck strider CAN NOT compare to the thickness of the Custom Strider folders.

Now here is the problem: Custom Strider folders cost $350.00

For now Rogue Spear, for now.

Any of the ultra-wear resistant steels will cut carpet for an extended period of time, including used carpet. They will not retain a razor edge for long, but they will remain very aggressive slicing due to the huge amount of *very* hard carbides in the steel. I have also cut up a lot of used mats and similar materials, again they can do this for some time as well.

General, do you mean the little seat belt cutter of the CQD?

I think that would be a good torture test of that feature. However, I'm surprised you didn't pick a folder with ahem a higher steel than 154 CM.

Buck makes a new linenolium cutter with the perfect blade shape and a handfilling handle that would serve perfectly as carpet cutter. I do not have the model number, but it should not be hard to thack down through their website. Any tactical/rescue knife would be miscast in this role.
