Choosing a first CRK sebenza 31

I have and like both, but find myself with a sneaking sort of preference for the small. Especially in regular work pants, it sits fine in my pocket unclipped along with a flashlight. Come summer, and with it the cargo shorts I wear, I'm sure the large is going to see more carry.

Never have I ever used the small and felt under knifed. It's also a bit easier to use in a subtle manner if unsure about how surrounding folk might react.

The large is a good choice for a "one knife" sort of scenario when you're not sure what the day might bring. If I didn't keep a sheath knife and machete nearby on the job, it would likely be my go to.

Side by side of when I had a large on loan from Kettleman Kettleman . It now resides with me permanently.

"Unsure how people might react"? Is this a real thing? I have never been anywhere and had that thought even cross my mind, nor has anyone ever even shown the slightest notice when i pulled out any knife. What kind of people do you encounter?

I don't personally think it matters. What matters is what matters to the owner. That said, making sweeping statements as to what's "best" and painting it as objectively true...certainly seems a bit of a stretch.

He did say "to each his own" in his last post...so that seems to have solved that issue.
After some drivel about how he can use it as a chisel, so that makes it better. I hear the handle is a super good hammer toom

He REALLY wants it to be true, so it must be. Its practically a swiss army knife buddy.

Easy killer, we are all friends here.

I've never personally had an issue, but it apparently happens. 🤷‍♂️

Douchebaggery runs rampant everywhere, sometimes I just err on the side of discretion. Unless you're Andre The Giant, that's a bit easier with a small.

I like large knives - my regular carry is currently a Cheburkov Voron - and I don't like the large Sebenza. I've had several pass through my hands as I've tried; but the only one I've kept is my large Snakewood (and that's only because I like Snakewood).
I much prefer the small Sebenza and, of the three I own, this the one I like/carry the most

It really does run rampant. I, admittedly, grew up and live around more rural people, but its nothing ive ever even had to consider. It wasnt meant as an attack, i genuinely am baffled that that is a concern

Just last night i sold my only small sebenza on an online auction sight. Its simply far to small for me. (The shiro neon is the absolute smallest knife i carry/use). Different strokes!

C crk1984 I prefer the size of the large Sebenza...I simply dislike it in hand.
I've said knives were way too small, then found smaller knives that I like better and carry often (Berg Iron Pup, for example, and the majority of the traditionals I carry in my lfp).

I've said the same myself and asked that question here before. I grew up and still live in a dairy farming community, so for the most part people are pretty reasonable. That being said, there are times and places I'd just as soon not risk any questions... My professional bearing goes right out the window when it comes to stupidity.
