Choosing an EDC folder

personally I don't like pin constructed knives, if they ever develop side to side play there is no fixing it so for that I would pass on the Bucks. The dozier has no thumb ramp or finger guard which makes it dangerous for you in a self defence situation you will likely cut your own hand. the rat 2 and chill are fairly close in all specs, aus8 and 8cr13mov perform very close and both knives have a nice finger guard or grooved handle and thumb ramps making it lock into your hand better in bad situations. the only real difference is in the rat 2's blade its wider front to back which will let it do more heavy duty tasks. this is all my personal opinion so take from it what you will :)

I think the RAT 2 is my top choice now. I don't really know the differences but it appears to be the best option of them.

You need some little hands. I hate a knife that I can't get my hand around. RAT-1 same money more knife. I suggest the OP research, measure the handle length with a 12" ruler then hold that ruler at the measured length and you'll see that these are tiny knives. Great for EDC - cutting an envelope or a bit of string and that's about it. YMMV :)

It fits small to medium hands extremely well and large hands decently but for larger hands you can get the rat 1 for pretty much the same price
