Since breaking my Cara Cara I've been kind of indecisive about which Spyderco to purchase to replace it. Here are some thoughts regardings knives I've used...

-The Cara Cara was great, but I'd like to find something with a slightly shorter blade that weighs less. I'm going to buy another Cara Cara, but I was thinking something like a UKPK would compliment it well.

-The Yojimbo really caught my attention. Shorter blade than the Cara Cara by an inch I think, but still has a full sized handle. I like the compression lock and the ergos look comfy.

-The UKPK looks very good. Low weight, one of my favorite blade shapes and the ergos have been highly praised. I'd like a one-handed slipjoint very much. Concerned about the ergonomics during harder use and being forced to using a choil all the time when many Spyderco models feel unpleasant to me in the choil.

-I did have a Manix at one point as well as a D'allara. The thought of going big and getting one of these crossed my mind. Maybe a mini-manix. I know both models are very strong, extremely ccomfortable and cut well for their size.

I'm not really sure what to go with. UKPK / Caly 3, Yojimbo, Manix / Mini-Manix / D'allara or maybe just stick with the Cara Cara.

I like the Yojimbo and wanted one for a long time but the more I look at it the more I wondered how long the tip would last. I'd say go for the Caly3

I say go to the gas station and buy some POS China knives to go bust up by chopping steel in senseless Noss-like fashion. Once that nonsense is out of your system, then we can discuss buying men's knives such as the Yojimbo.
