Chop Shop Firesale, pt. 8
Some of these knives have been more subtly modified (such as the Pingo), some have been more drastically chopped (such as the Mantra and Sage), and some are unmodded BNIB (like the Keen and Boker), so be sure to read the descriptions and look at the pics carefully, so that you know what you’re getting!
1. Massdrop/Laconico Keen (Bronze portals) $145 (A)

- BNIB. This is a catch & release for me.
- Centering is spot on, action is awesome w/ hard detent.
2. Boker Single Blade Slip Joint (green micarta) $30 (A) SOLD.

3. Spyderco Pingo Ti/Elmax (modded) $75. (C)

- Blade has been slightly reprofiled for a pointier tip.
- Handles have been stonewashed and darkened with oxiclean.
- Centering is pretty bad, but blade doesn’t rub (see pics).
- Lost the box, will ship in a Chaparral box.
4. Spyderco Mantra 2 (chopped) $75. (C) SOLD.

- Knife has been chopped down - blade is reprofiled to a sheepsfoot hybrid (see pics).
- Dark patina on blade, but no rust. Edge has been reprofiled and sharpened.
- Handles have been stonewashed and darkened with oxiclean.
- Action is pretty good, fires consistently but doesn’t rocket out.
- No pocket clip, perfect watch pocket carry.
- Lost the box, will ship in an old Bradley2 box.
5. Spyderco Sage 1 (chopped) $65. (C) SOLD.

- Knife has been chopped down - blade is reprofiled to a sheepsfoot hybrid (see pics).
- Scales have been contoured and sanded down (see pics).
- Edge has been reprofiled and sharpened. There are a few small scratches on blade.
- No pocket clip, perfect watch pocket carry.
- No box, sorry.
6. Kizer Guru (modded) $75. (C) SOLD.

- Handles have been chopped down to remove lanyard hole (also makes for deeper carry).
- Handles have been stonewashed and ‘speed holes’ added (by previous owner, professional level mods).
- Edge has been reprofiled and sharpened.
- Centering is off, favors presentation side but doesn’t rub (see pics).
