Choppa-palooza: Don't miss this one

Great thread, funny about the gas guy! I figure the picture is a small price to pay for your help :D.
Now, I am CRAZY jealous of that Mistress with the pumpkin G10... if you ever have the hankering to let it go I would love to know.

Great Post!

That thing is sweet. I was a little hesitant to strip it but it is a user for sure. I made a sheath for it, but it is so nice I am going to have someone else make a nicer sheath for it.

I couldn't resist. Stripped, satinized blade, convexed AND a sheath? Plus in hand-shaped tan canvas. It's a working LE. The shots of you hacking down the tree in 14 chops did it. Who needs an axe???

Great thread. I have convexed and polished the edge on my KZII. I am planning on leaving the mods at that for now. I will also sand down the prominent points on the end of the handle. They don't bother me in a normal grip, but if I really choked back, and chopped for a while, I would want them a bit smoothed down.

The KZII is sure a beast though. It does not feel as heavy in the hand, because of the extra weight in the handle that the extra tang length gives.

I bet if you had a back stop for chopping, that pipe would only have taken one or two hits.

The hardest part of chopping the pipe was trying to hold it still. We pinned it to the ground but then I did not want to hit to hard and chop the Earth in half.

They're great knives, but with great power comes great responsibility. You acted wisely in not chopping the Earth in half.

That was a score. I have too many choppers and that deal still tempted me.

Great review and a mighty fine spread of big boys you have going there. Thanks for all of the work you put into the review.
