Peter and Mykel... thank you so much. You guys made a grown man feel like a kid again. That kinda sounds wrong huh? lol, you know what I mean. John you make one hell of a knife. I'll be saving up for my very own purchase and become a proud supporter.

I hope to use this thread and update you guys on the life of ViKtim 9. I plan on taking a nice hike up in the mountains in a few days- have some fun and test out the blade. Then in a few weeks, an overnighter.

Sorry about all the photos, I went a little crazy! haha!

Pictures are always good, thanks for posting. Look forward to seeing it in action.

Hi Junglas -

I can't tell - are you happy? (just kidding - thanks for the pictures - I like seeing the pictures).

Your knife came out beautiful - it's a nice hunk of cutting tool for sure, and the scales look awesome.

I am excited to hear your impressions of the knife and Johns work; we all love his knives, but it will be nice to hear another person who is new to the deal and custom knives in general give us a review.

I had #10 made in Snakewood - I would say that in the run, 1-8 are made to be the rugged do it all tool that viKtim Zero was, and #9 and #10 are the "dress" versions. **edit** I am going to take this statement back - there are several that are dressy - the oak, the walnut, the mesquite - a lot of flavors of JK here!**/edit**

Have a blast with the knife - but be careful, this model is a little fragile. :p

Thanks to Mykel and KYenglish who made it possible for Junglas to have #9, and subsequently to allow #10 to be made.

best regards -

Seriously,I'm glad you like it & it was my pleasure to help you get your first JK.:)

And thank you Peter for helping with the contest.

Now get it dirty dangit!

Plan complete, mwaha ha ha ha! :p

I'm very happy, consider it a fair trade, a knife for pictures :) hope to see lots more of course

That is a great looking handful of knife. You will never be under knifed as long as you're carrying that one.

John,

Your ViKtim design is so cool- looks tough and brawn, traditional, and beautiful. I hope to test it out in a few days and post up a review in the wilderness forum.

Andy,
Ah man, I was trying to contain myself! haha I'm so pumped!!! I didn't want to annoy you guys with my constant excitement. I'm just in sheer awe of the craftsmanship, design. and materials. It's a lot of steel! I really love the design, the lines and shapes. I just can't stop looking at it. The snake wood looks amazing on your knife. I'm in total agreement with ya, everybody put their own spin on the ViKtims and they all look great, the pretty boy ones and the rugged ones!

Jeff,

Thanks brotha, hope you're not tired of looking at because they'll be plenty more! :)

Mykel,

lol, you two guys are evil masterminds! haha. You, Peter, and everybody in the JK forum are awesome. Great bunch of guys here. No other place I'd rather be. It's not just my first JK but my first custom and first "nice" knife. Quite a step up from my Mora! I'm eyeballing the Trapline, it's going to make a great end of the year Christmas present to myself. I can't wait to be supporter of JK Knives.

Peter,

By the time I'm done, you're going to be sick and tired of all my posts and pictures! I went to the beach with my gf on Sunday and wanted to bring my knife along but I was afraid of getting salt on it, plus I didn't want to scare all the sheeple out here in California. Side note, it was an amazing day. We say 3 dolphins playing around about 20 feet from the sand! I went in and swam within 15 feet of them. Next photo shoot will be on a hike in the mountains!

PGeo00,

thanks brotha!

Joliet Jeff,

You can bet on it! I can't wait to take her out and set her loose!

Protourist,

I totally agree with ya, I think it'll be highly capable!

junglas...maaaan...congrats. it's so funny. and maybe i'm a dork. but, i am truly happy for you. what a great knife. and i'm pumped that you're pumped. shots all around! :D

Junglas, you can be a supporter without purchasing one of my knives, just post there and Rockywiolf will add you to the list. I`m really happy you are liking and enjoying your ViKtim, you would be surprised how many receive their knives and don`t even let me know they got them. That`s one of my pet peeves.

Junglas, I see that you are in California. Some day we will need to hook up. I am all over that state.

Hi fellas! I'm sorry I haven't been around, I picked up another part time job in addition to my regular part time job and school. In the upcoming months, my family will be celebrating various things and holidays so I wanted to make sure I get to spread a little joy around. The new schedule is a little difficult and I've been a zombie for the past few weeks. Running on fumes, but it feels GREAT knowing I'm taking care of people I love.

The good vibes here is definitely contagious! You guys impressed me with your friendship, community, and generosity. I'm passing it on the best I can.

I haven't had time to start ViKtimizing much lol, but my GF surprised me with a trip she bought on Groupon. It's a 2 day weekend with lots of outdoorsy things to do- hiking, rock climbing, lakes, fishing, etc... Probably head redeem it in a couple of weeks.

I'm adjusting the the new schedule and I look forward to interacting with the awesome JK bunch! When I get the chance, I'm going to sit down with a nice hot cup of coffee and start reading the threads and looking at all the photos!

Take care fellas- I hope everyone is doing well.

Your weekend get-away sounds like some serious fun. Have a great time!

Jeff

nice to see you back bud, thanks for the update, hope you enjoy your girlfriends very generous gift and that the two jobs don't burn you out to much, I work for several jobs teaching different things and know the organization alone can frazzle your brain so try not to over do it.

take care

Hello JK FANS! It's been a long long time and I've really missed BF and JK. I've been working my butt off and going to school, plus picked up a small side business in preparation of the holidays.

I had many plans to get out in the woods, but circumstances made it difficult. My gf bought us a little getaway that we had to cancel. ViKtim #9 was patient and finally, I took her out and worked her out a little.

We went to Barton Flats, it's near Big Bear California.
