Chopper compilation thread!

Yup, thats what it is & also one of my Grail knives. LOVE that thing !!! I would actually like one that was the exact same shape but had another inch or 2 of height, so it would be a Nessie/Cleaver, complete with a small hole towards the tip, for hanging it up on a nail.:thumbup:

Something like this?

I just love that I'm not the only guy that has one of those. Mine was my first machete--I was lucky to have started off with one that was of good quality! It's also one of the only machetes I've seen that had a one-piece injection molded handle...but ALSO rivets.

One thing is for sure about it....
It's a tank!

my two choppers are a Junglas and a 18 inch HI. The himalayan chops alot better, the trade off is it weighs a LOT more.

So here are a few blades I like to chop with (Battle Rat is my favorite of these ones)

My Joe Calton custom. 20" oal with a 15" blade. 5470 year old stabalized bog oak scales held on with stainless corby's. Had Joe forge her down in thickness some, close to .2" for better balence and ease of swinging one-handed. She cuts very well, and is quite fast compared to the full size I had from Joe, that was an absolute tank of a chopper.

nice pics Erik. seeing a lot more hawks than I thought I would. ( in another thread asking about a knife that can chop and do fine work )

I always thought the small head and light weight would hinder its wood chopping but i guess I was wrong

Here's what I got left now after selling a couple off recently. I think they are still more than adequate for any tasks I should come across...well, maybe;)
