The grip on that last one looks like the grip from a Chinese WWII officer's saber.

My newest chopper from Patrick Knives. Saw it in the camp knife challenge and had to have one. A2 tool steel blade is 8 X 2/38 X 1/4 thick. Sheath is incredible. Check him out excellent work and value for the price.

WOW..some nice stuff out there...I say we are close to 500 lbs of steel so far, I would like to see us get over a TON of steel. I bet we have that much collectively....just saying:D

Doc, which Kukri are you asking about?
In the pic, left to right: Condor Kukri Machete, ColdSTeel Kukri(carbonV), 21" CAK, 18" WWII, 17.5" CAK, 15" CAK and BONEcutter

Hey Gene, I didn't know you replied - I just saw it now. I was beginning to think I was on the 'ignore' list :(

whats the story on the wood sheaths, what is the purpose of part above the handle with the notches.

My choppers are in a big tote in the garage. Except for my JK hatchet, I have not used any of them for several years. I just don't have much use for big heavy knives or axes. I will leave the drooling to others.

They came that way to me from a friend returning from Jamaica. This picture might explain it better:

They are caricatures of faces in profile.

Considering they were probably a tourist offeriing, the wonderful surprise is that they are both Martindales.
