Wowsers those are incredible. I'd be terrified to use them. Those are way too beautiful ❤️😻. 😆😂🤣. Seriously though, that HUCK is gorgeous. I've been wanting a HUCK for a long-time now but they're a bit pricier than I want to pay. I wish I had enough many to have bought a MOAB. I imagine that monster is a beast when it comes to chopping!
 
While most of them are still unsullied: I had to find out if "Beauty" truly WAS the Beast!

Unfortunately, no. I had a great opportunity, just the other day, but talked myself out of throwing it in my truck. (*What's even more embarrassing is that I've been walking around the house and swinging that thing like a madman for weeks)

As you can imagine, for a "chopper", it is VERY forward heavy. It feels absolutely lovely in the hand and swings very nicely. I hope I don't jinx it by posting that I have REALLY HIGH hopes for it.

Yep, that's it. I just bought it off knifecenter so I won't receive it for a few days.


Unfortunately, knifecenter cancelled my order for the DPX heft 12 chopper. I put in the order more than a year ago. I've had a couple opportunities to buy one in the last year while waiting but today they told me it's discontinued. Hopefully I can find one because I had high hopes for that knife. I like Sleipner steel a lot also. It's been great for me on a Lionsteel fixed blade that I've had for at least 5 years now. It reminds me of D2 but more stain resistant. That's why I want the DPX heft 12, I was hoping to eventually get one in D2 and one in Sleipner to compare each other.
I was also on the Gersh blades website today and saw that he makes a competition chopper for a reasonable price compared to s lot of other competition choppers. I'd love to get a Carothers competition chopper but it's a bit pricier than I want to spend on a chopper. For that price I'll be afraid to use it brutally like I want to do with all the knives I'll be comparing. A Busse MOAB is another absolute beast of a blade that I would love to have, but the price scared me.

What is the first one? I'm assuming it's a Carothers. That looks incredible. I see they're going to be making a kukri soon. Unfortunately it's gotten so hard to get any Carothers knife and the prices have risen as well. I've had 2 cpm3v Kephart for about 5 years. One I've used the hell out of, and the other is untouched. I've always wanted a behemother or chopper from them. I see that he will start making waki's soon as well. I'd love to be able to get that as well as the kukri, behemother, and choppers because I know they make some of the the absolute best and toughest blades. I can only imagine how good they'll be.

Yea sir, that first one is my Medium Chopper. They are great knives!
