Photos Choppers

Good eye. Yes, mine is a Sargent copy of the Blackjack Marauder. The Marauders (three variations on the design) are quite pricey these days.

Pacific Cutlery had a similar product and, when they became Benchmade, they continued production for a while. They, too, can be a bit pricey.
I was trying to see what it said on the blade. any more info on them?

I love making big, stupid, filthy looking choppers. The handle construction on this one is unique, involving Terotuf, a novel compressed cork material that works and machines like hardwood yet has the ‘give’ of cork, sleeved in Kevlar. I’ll make a post on it in the Custom section later, but it felt appropriate to add here.

Crucible S7, 11” blade, forged and rust browned hardware.

Best chopper I’ve ever owned is the 1311, followed by the Gossman BBT, third place is a tie between the Becker BK9 and the Skrama. I had a CPK Behemoth that looked amazing and I tried to connect with, but it just didn’t work out. Sold that to a friend who I know will do the blade justice.

I've heard this too..... (I should of posted my 1311 in the lineup from my above picture)

I still have my 1311, could never sell it. The best production chopper is a tie between the BK9 and Skrama, I had Junglas but didn’t really care for it. The BK9 is probably the best all around chopper I own. I could do small, finer tasks quite admirably with a BK9. It just barely, and I mean barely, surpasses the Skrama in this regard.

I agree....
Up until I started getting My hands dirty, the 1311 was king.
I also Really wanted to like the Junglass, had a low number "Skully", and just couldn't like it. I have big hands, Idk Who they made it for??? They felt Huge.

The 9 is a very good, Big Knife. Although I like the 5 & 4 better. :D

I have a BK4 incoming and really want to put it head to head with the 9er. I also have very large hands and holding the Junglas felt like I was gripping a 2x4, I believe Becker’s ergos are far superior to anything in the Esee camp barring the 5/6 with the contoured scales.

You will be surprised... The 4 chops every bit as good as the 9, and is slightly lighter

I love Khukuris and KLO’s, but I’m partial to bowies. I do believe the Khuk balance and shape is FAR superior chopping set up.

I wanted to like the 21, but didnt. I'm use to "normal" blades and the kukuri felt torquie and unbalanced. Maybe I need to try it again.

4, I liked, 21 I didn't.

I like boring looking, traditional looking Bowies. Ones that look like kitchen knives.
Haha.
Not a huge fan of swedges and clip points

The Condor Hudson Bay is a surprisingly effective traditional type chopper.
