Ok guys and gals, we have been at it again :D we got some requests for axes and hatchet comparisons to Busse's so we did just that, we got some none busse knives in a couple of vids too but it's mostly Busse and Gransfors.

More great vids.:thumbup: Were those Ontarios or Ka-Bars in the 3rd vid? Like the big power swings with that Busse kukri looking one. What steel's on all the knives? Was it just 1095 and Infi or others? SR101?Any noticable dullness or chipping out of any of them?

All the the Busse's are Infi, the Rattle Hawk is SR101, the Becker i believe is 1095 the other ones Bobber will have to give you the answer on, All the Infi and SR101 i used today is still as sharp as when we started, i have had knives in most of the steels that's out there and Infi and sr101 is the best two steels of the bunch, that green Moab i used today still shaves after going through wood all day. The Black Test Team looking Killa zilla i used is a Proto which is very thick behind the edge but still pretty effective and the other black one is the Killa Zilla 2 (KZ2), The satin one is a Regular Test Team Killa Zilla (TTKZ)
 
Ulf, those were Ontario sp 50 and 51. Same knife onlthat one is full flat grind and the other is saber grind.
No chipping or severe dulling at all....
 
Looked through those in a little more detail, and man that looks like fun! :thumbup:

The small hatchet did an amazing job against the big knives--I'd imagine it probably weighs less than some of the big Busse's. Of course, with a big knife you only need one blade, but with a hatchet you would also typically carry a knife, so it evens out.
