I went out to shovel today and finally got fed up enough at a piece of heavy duty rubber type stuff that was preventing one of our fence gates from closing. The previous owners had installed the rubber material between the concrete and the garden area. I suppose to keep the garden from getting away.
Anyway, we built the fence this summer. If you opened the gate wide, past the spot where the rubber piece ended, it would pop up and then prevent the gate from closing.
Batonned through the round part in 3 whacks using an NMSFNO. Then used my TK3 to slice off the rest.
The disappointing part: it only took three hits to get the job done.
NMSFNO with some melted snow and ice, TK3, and the offending rubber piece, now vanquished.
