Chopping trip next weekend

Timmy,

As others pointed out, your ergo BM is a ZTBM.

Here is a little Busse history: the ZT (Zero Tolerance) series was a 3/16" thick limited production (400 each) of the NO, SH, & BM Ergo knives. There was also a ZTSJ, of which there were 100 made (~1/4" thick). The ZT series was the result of an accident of way too much 3/16" INFI being made. I think there were a couple different batches, because some were finished very nicely while others had noticeable grind marks. There were 2 variations of the ZTNO – most had the same swedge as the other ergo models, but 30 had a more prominent swedge. The original ZT knives have a satin finish with tan canvas micarta (years later a handful of black coated ZT knives appeared, maybe from leftover blanks?). Read more here.

Enjoy your time with your grandparents!

Ah. Getting close. I can't wait. Hopefully... Hopefully I'll get to bash the shit out of some wood. That ASHBM needs a proper breaking in.

There's a B11 in the mix now too! Oh. Ooooohhhboy....
Todays work day will last forever I bet.......

Sorry dude. I was literally out in the sticks and didn't have access to the internet or a phone charger without driving an hour into town. It was fantastic!

Glad the weekend was nice Timmy. Did ya at least give em a good workout?

You know it. Those blades got worked. I chopped down about 7 trees. Split a bunch of em for firewood.

I had my choice of the ones with "black knot" on em. Apparently they were going to die soon anyhow. Most were dead already, but I ran into a couple that were still a but green.

Used the ASHBM and BASIC 11 on those. :D
