These were made as rests for chopsticks to prevent the tips from touching the tabletop and to prevent the sticks from rolling. The curved surface also works well as a spoon rest. If you turn the piece over with the flat surface up it also works as a rest for a knife or spatula. I made these rests from cut off pieces of some of my better wood that I saved over the past several years. These are made with untreated wood that has been given a lacquer finish. These have been shaped by hand so there will be a bit of variance in the dimensions but the average is about 2&1/2 inches long by 3/4 inch wide and thick.
There are 69 different rests to choose from.
The walnut ones are $10, the rosewood burl are $20 and all the others are somewhere in between.
Just click on the photo to go to where these are located in my web store.
